A flexible system for any climate adaptation project
SmartBrønd's adjustable flow regulator is easy to adjust and can be set to an outflow rate as low as 0.4 l/s. An optional overflow function can be built in, sized to the outlet pipe diameter. The overflow height is adjustable to the desired elevation and fits standard sewer pipes.
Installation
The adjustable flow regulator can be installed from ground level in a Ø425 manhole if the outlet pipe is Ø110, and from a Ø600 manhole if the outlet is Ø160 or smaller. It can also be installed in any manhole above Ø600, in nearly all outlet pipes.
Optimisation
When installing the adjustable flow regulator we also install a water level sensor, which tells us how the system is performing. After two to four rainfall events, we follow up on the outflow rate and fine-tune the regulator together with the customer. The sensor can then be removed if desired.
Safety
The adjustable flow regulator is fitted with a non-return valve to prevent backflow from e.g. the sewer. Its design also acts as a rodent guard.
Upgrade path
The adjustable flow regulator can be easily upgraded to a controllable flow regulator, where the outflow rate can be operated remotely from the platform. The water level sensor ensures we can monitor and operate the regulator with precision when needed.
